Wine, Recipes & A Full Dining Experience

Most classes include a wine pairing option to complement the experience. At the end of the session, you’ll sit down to enjoy the meal we created together. Every student leaves with a packet of recipes, tips, and techniques to keep building their skills long after the class ends.

From basic skills like chopping to more advanced culinary arts, like homemade pasta, Chef Randall can give you all the tips to master the kitchen.

Depending on the menu and number of students, you can learn everything from basic techniques to more advanced cooking practices for no more than $200!

Chef Randall can work with you beforehand on the exact menu of the class to ensure you are learning the techniques and practices you are hoping for and that the food meets any dietary restrictions you or your loved ones might have. Whether you are a beginner in San Juan Capistrano or know your way around a few kitchen tools in your Rancho Santa Margarita home, Chef Randall offers cooking classes tailored to fit the needs of just about anyone.

When he arrives at your home, Chef Randall will almost assuredly have a bottle of wine in hand–if you so wish–which will be perfectly picked to pair with whatever type of cuisine you will be crafting. Your class will be hands-on, so roll up your sleeves, throw your hair back, and get ready to have fun while also learning applicable skills to use the next time you go about cooking a family meal.

Once your lesson is complete, you can go about enjoying whatever it is that you have created, from delicious bruschetta to difficult seafood dishes. Chef Randall will then give each student a book of recipes to try out their new skills and provide any last tips.

Meet Your Instructor: Chef Randall Hane

After inheriting the love of cooking and all things related to the culinary arts from his grandmother, Chef Randall Hane attended the Le Cordon Bleu California School of Culinary Arts in Pasadena and graduated top of his class. He then moved to Northern California, where he worked his way through many high-end restaurants and hotels. From the Park Hyatt Regency to Bernardus Lodge in Carmel Valley, Chef Randall honed his skills in creating memorable dishes.

At 25, Chef Randall ventured across the Atlantic and landed a coveted Sous Chef position at L’Auberge Carmel-by-the-Sea under renowned Chef Christophe Grosjean. Randall then moved to the town of Biarritz, France, for two and a half years, during which he and his team earned a Michelin star at Chateau de Brindos in Anglet, France, under the direction of Grosjean.

When his feet brought him back to the States, Randall settled in the glorious sun of Orange County and helped develop the well-known Selanne’s Steak Tavern in Laguna Beach with Chef Josh Severson. He then became the Chef de Cuisine at Driftwood Kitchen, also in Laguna Beach, under the leadership of Executive Chef Rainer Schwarz.

Randall worked in this position for six years, where he led an award-winning team of cooks and servers alike. He enjoys taking traditional culinary techniques and implementing them in new and modern ways to ensure his customers are only served the most delicious and inventive of dishes. Now, he is ready to teach you all his kitchen tips and tricks!
